He likes Yayoi, as much as he likes to harp on almost everything she does and says though even when he's not saying something he's almost certainly thinking it. If he had to wager a guess at how her abilities manifested, he'd choose believing that she's a playful kitsune who was a little late to take her chances manifesting in human form and ended up picking up on far too many modern contrivances but worrying about those kinds of things would be a priestess' job and not his own. Instead, he prefers to treat her more like a younger sister... if he even deserves anything like that.

Either way, she also helped him repair a grievous self-inflicted injury without fainting or recoiling, so she's at least earned his trust as someone who can be left alone reliably without any real need for course-correcting advice.

"She can take care of herself but I think she'll be particularly lonely if she doesn't receive offerings in some way. I'll do my part."

Yoojin is an oddity. Archer made a career out of turning the absurd into mundane side-work and this man still seems leagues ahead of him in making Rosavelle feel like routine tasks in an ongoing project. Sure, he doesn't seem completely impervious to insane happenstances but he can't say he's seen Yoojin collapse or retreat from anything yet and so that's cause for alarm.

It's entirely masturbatory rhetoric but Archer knows to be the most afraid of people who bounce back over and over and over. How lucky they are that he's seemingly trying to be an uplifting force for others instead of coordinating against them!

"I'm not certain what meditative habits he practices but they're yielding exceptional results. Still, it can't be particularly easy. If he asks for my assistance, I'd likely grant it without question."

This man would undoubtedly call her 'Princess' if not for Callie's presence. She walks around, boastful and wrathful the same way a demigod might terrorize the villagers that worshiped them and he wouldn't even disagree with the fact that she exudes a lot of the positive traits that would lend her that appearance. As aggravating as she can be, Gold Ship doesn't disappoint Archer in what she's capable of but she does let him down now that he realizes her ego is actually a lot more fragile than she initially lets on.

She's exceptionally talented in so many things that he feels more frustrated that she's not simply focusing on ironing out her presentation to others rather than zeroing in on insane short-sighted plans. More than that, he isn't even mad at her for trying to murder him on impulse 'cause it was a pretty solid discus toss.

"That frustrating girl has the capacity to be the Queen or the Jester depending on the afternoon. I'd prefer it if she made up her mind but it won't stop me from trying to even out her footing."

Ai. If there was anyone who betrayed his first impression of them, it would be this tiny rabbit. She starts off as a friendly face he could greet in the morning without consequence and shifts just a little bit someone he could help with a favor and now? She sidled up to the few thoughts he has during the day that aren't horrible and self-loathing and picked a spot for herself.

How? Look, Archer's met a lot of personality types and he's seen the best and the worst of them. Some people are charismatic and have such a good understanding of others and their environments and so they defend themselves with that. So, when she unintentionally chose the right time, he saw her let down her wall and what she really thought like for a little bit. I know I mentioned it in discord that Ai's more realistic thoughts were something he could more subtle connect to but really--he believed her just as much when she was polite and coming across as simply friendly and when she cut through his bullshit almost mercilessly.

Look, I really enjoyed that tag and he's trying not to admit to himself that he likes that they're working in the same shop now...

Dainsleif enters as quietly as he exits and yet he still makes an impact. It won't go without saying that Archer can understand people who use tactics similar to his own. There has to be countless valid, reasons why he is the sort of man he is but what isn't up to question is his sense of ethics. Much like Archer, Dainsleif seems quick to show earnest reverence towards people who've earned his respect but he'd suggest that the latter is far more considerate of those same people while the prior is nothing but disrespectful.

Overall, he knows he won't be disappointed by Dainsleif's interpretation of any events or assessments of himself or others not because he agrees, necessarily, but because he's so far grounded in reality that it would be unreasonable to disagree with him too vehemently.

For all the reasons that someone might say Dainsleif is off putting and far too guarded, Archer might say those were the reasons why he prefers his company over others.
