PLAYER PLOT: ROSAVELLE RACING ASSOCIATION FEBRUARY RACES

GREETINGS AND WELCOME TO THE FIRST OOC POST FOR:

!THE ROSAVELLE RACING ASSOCIATION!!
i bit off more than i can chew help

What is this?

In short the RRA is essentially an excuse to have two competitive events a month followed by a concert to let everyone indulge in their urges for Sports Anime and in character poignant or fun musical moments on stage. These are horse races, because of course, where multiple teams compete for the fun of it, the glory of winning/singing center stage (or having their proxy, a "Champion of Song" sing in their place), and a seat at the high table for a victory feast hosted by the Princess themself. Further rambling details can be found in this post on the quest board complete with powerpoint presentation.

Okay so how's this going to work?

Each month will have two races, one at the first week of the month( Although for February we're doing the second week because my timing was BAD, sorry) and one at the end of the month. Sign ups for racers and performers will be open until a Deadline noted in each sign up section. THERE ARE NO QUANTIFIERS, anyone who wants to compete or perform on stage between the opening and closing of the concerts is allowed to.

The results of the races themselves will be decided entirely by RNG. Remember, this is low stakes.

A standing roster of all Racing Teams, Bands, and Support staff can be found at Gold Ship's journal here. Which also contains a link to a spreadsheet for the racing teams.

Racing Teams are made up of:
1) A horse, because you can't really do a horse race without one.

2) A rider or riders, if a couple(or polycule) or friends want to work together and switch out riding duties that's more than fine.

3) A Trainer, someone working with the horse and rider to help them bring out each other's potential. Gold Ship will be assisting with this in some capacity, so if you don't have anyone to list as a Trainer don't worry, she's got you.

4) A Performer or Champion of Song. Like Umamusume races the horse races for the RRA will be followed by a concert, this one more of a major event so as to allow none racers to perform too. But importantly the Winning Concert is opened and closed by the racers, or their chosen proxies if they don't feel like dressing up and singing idol songs on stage.

Bands consist of as many or as few members as you want! Any lacking points in the lineup can be filled by Meramancy, each band will be allowed a setlist of up to 10 songs. How's that all going to fit into one night? The flow of time in Rosavelle is convoluted, don't worry about it, just relax.

And what about all of our characters who'd like to get involved but don't compete or perform? That's what the Broad Category of SUPPORT is for! Everything from people working advertisement, to construction, wardrobe, food stalls, merchandise vending, even helping to care for the horses before and after the race. If you can think of something odds are it needs doing!

Alright but where's the RP part of this?

Glad you asked! We're going to be doing a mass mingle log, essentially. The logs will list the racing bracket and positioning, the finishing results, the closing song for the concert (They will ALL open with Make Debut because you can neither stop myself nor Gold Ship from doing this), and the list of performers along with their set lists.

From there the rp of the thing will be in whatever you want! Play out tense moments in the race and form rivalries, spectate and react to the TENSION AND PASSION or work a food stall, mingle during the concert with passions high or play out poignant moments of connection when you finally sing that love ballad while making sustained eye contact with your crush who's in the crowd or on stage with you. Just do whatever's fun and ya know, don't blow up the race tracks. Or the stands. Or the horses. Especially not the horses???? Thanks!

Sign ups will their own comment chains in this post, one for the racers, one for the bands, so that when the deadline hits they can be posted to the log post when it goes up. The deadline for entry will be listed on the top comment.
