SEASONAL UPDATE

WELCOME TO ROYAL DECREE!!!

It's finally time for Rosavelle to open its gates - and I couldn't be more excited to welcome everyone to the kingdom! Now everyone's beginning to settle in, it's time for the game's very first Seasonal Update!

Seasonal Updates are a neat and tidy blend of event previews, CR planning, world updates, and AC results - all in one convenient bimonthly post! Typically, this first section will contain any important OOC announcements or updates you'll want to know before diving in.

Event previews and CR planning are exactly what they sound like - they'll outline the upcoming mod-run events and when you can expect them to go live, along with a brief primer on what to expect. You can use the comments to plan out your CR for the season, find event partners, or just brainstorm ways your characters might get involved.

World Updates will usually be the heart of each Seasonal Update. These cover small but notable happenings around Rosavelle - market fairs, seasonal festivals, strange magical phenomena, and any changes within the castle or the city that might affect your characters. The season's weather forecast will also appear here, along with any minor magical or political shifts that help set the tone for the months ahead. In addition, updates marked with a !❤︎! symbol indicate events that will have their own posts!

And lastly, AC results are exactly what they sound like - the wrap-up section for activity checks and any mod notes attached to them!

EVENT PREVIEW

It's been only a short while since your arrival in Rosavelle, and things have been going surprisingly smoothly. But as Their Highness kindly (and a little nervously) explained at the welcoming banquet, there's just one small complication: interdimensional travel is… frowned upon, let's say. But never fear! To keep anyone from asking awkward questions, Callie has come up with a plan! From this moment on, all off-world guests are to pose as visiting nobles from faraway lands, here to lend wisdom and support in the lead-up to their coronation.

Of course, that's a whole lot easier said than done. To make the cover story believable, everyone will spend their first four weeks in Rosavelle living on the castle grounds and undergoing a crash course in noble etiquette, Rosavellan customs, and the finer points of surviving a five-hour banquet without accidentally insulting a duke. Lessons will be held throughout the month, culminating in everyone's first outing to Rosavelle itself - a grand test of grace and charm during the Wilting Festival at month's end.

And who better to oversee this delicate operation than an actual noble from distant lands - Nadeshiko Hanabira-no-Kisaragi, the princess's lady-in-waiting, castle steward, and the human embodiment of no excuses? Her standards are legendarily high, her patience legendarily short, and rumor has it she can detect improper posture from across the room.

Brush up on your bowing, practice your table manners and prepare to learn how to fake nobility like your life (or at least your dignity) depends on it!

WORLD UPDATES

The Season of Wilting drifts gently into Rosavelle, painting the island in warm, fading tones. The air turns brisk but pleasant, carrying the faint sweetness of late blooms and the distant scent of the sea. Early in the season, the days are cool and bright, with leaves turning from green to copper and gold before fluttering down to gather along the streets and canals. As the weeks pass, the change deepens and the flowers that once crowned every bridge and balcony begin to wilt, retreating into their roots to rest. The winds from the Azurite Sea grow sharper, and frost starts to lace the railings and windowsills.

Around halfway through the season, the first snow begins to fall - light at first, dusting rooftops and garden paths, but gradually thickening into a soft, steady rhythm that blankets the island. The canals rarely freeze completely thanks to the island's magic, but the bridges can get icy, so tread carefully...! The skies tend to stay clear, but a few soft snowstorms pass through and by the end of Wilting, the cold reaches its peak. The days are short, the nights come early, and most people tuck themselves into warm taverns and candle-lit shops to escape the chill.

♡ All Season: The castle gardens have officially entered their end-of-year dormancy, but that doesn't mean they're empty! Staff have arranged some displays around the grounds, featuring frost-hardy blooms and enchanted lights. The Amourian Library and Hearthsong Salon are both running "warm corner" reading nooks for guests who want to cozy up with tea and a blanket while it snows outside.

♡ All Mont: Nadeshiko holds daily lessons to make sure the advisors can hold their own when the festival comes around. These will cover noble etiquette, Rosavellan customs and history - and yes, there will be a pop quiz.

♡ November 3rd onwards: The kitchens are testing some new recipes! Guests who stop by the Marigold Dining Room for lunch might get to try a few experimental dishes-root vegetable pies, mulled fruit compotes, and spiced cocoa. Feedback (and requests for seconds) are welcome.

♡ November 7th: The Crownkeepers' horses are restless from the turning weatger, so the stablehands are organizing a short afternoon trot through the castle gardens for anyone who wants to help exercise the steeds - or just feed them sugar cubes.

!❤︎! November 10th: Nadeshiko hosts a study session in the Amourian Library to better assess where the advisors' weak spots as a hroup. Tea and snacks will be provided but be aware that if you spill anything on any of the books, she WILL make it look like an accident.

♡ November 16th: A minor enchantment malfunction in the Radiant Hall's chandeliers has filled the air with drifting sparkles of frostlight. Staff are working on fixing it, but until then, the effect is rather pretty, if a bit slippery underfoot.

♡ November 25th: Small frost sprites have been spotted hiding in the courtyards! The groundskeepers are asking for help coaxing them back toward the greenhouse before they nibble on too many enchanted lanterns. They seem to like singing and crumbs of pastry.

!❤︎! November 29th - 30th: The Wilting Festival has arrived! Midway through the season, Rosavelle fills with a cheerful winter craft market, ice skating, and stalls piled high with food. It's a celebration said to warm up the coming cold months but most importantly, it's where the advisors will have their first outing to Rosavelle itself, under Callie and Nadeshiko's supervision. You're encouraged to enjoy yourselves but don't forget that this is the test of how well you can blend in with the locals. No pressure!

♡ December 1st: The first substantial snowfall of the season dusted the castle's balconies this morning! Servants have already swept the Radiant Hall's steps, but the lawns are fair game-snowman-building and snowball fights are officially underway.

♡ December 9th – 12th: The Thistle & Thorn Pub in Marelys hosts its annual end of year celebration. Fisherfolk bring in the last big catches before the colder waters set in, and the kitchen turns them into rich chowders and seafood pies. Artists from Primavain play in the evenings; it's one of the rowdiest, happiest events of the season.

♡ December 16th: The forge's heat charms are running strong, and the Emberlight smiths are holding an open workshop for anyone wanting to make small trinkets or charms to keep their hands warm. Don't worry, apprentices will make sure you don't accidentally weld your sleeves to the anvil!

♡ December 22nd: The Moonpetal Conservatory's night-blooming flowers are expected to open tonight! The conservatory will stay open late for anyone who wants to watch the petals unfurl under Calyx's glow.

♡ December 25th: Marigold Hall hosts a "Make & Mend Festival." Citizens bring in worn or broken belongings to repair under the guidance of local craftspeople. It's not just practical - the act of mending something dear is thought to invite good fortune into the coming Fallow.

♡ December 27th – 31st: The Lapis Lookout Lantern Walk. Families and friends make the climb to hang wind chimes and lanterns for the ships soon to return to harbor for the new year. The view is breathtaking, and it's said that if your lantern's flame stays steady, your love will too.

About: She's from the end of the season, is a nervous anxious wreck of a person, and is canonly known by the title Ultimate Nurse! Capable of such feats as autopsies, minor surgeries, and being able to tell at a glance if you're feeling ill and with what illness/the best treatment!

She's got no self-esteem and tends to say worrying things......a lot.... such as encouraging people to use her as target practice, cut her hair, hit her, etc. if it'll make them feel better. She thinks that if people aren't bullying her, it means they hate her.... I'm sorry in advance.

She's also done some...pretty hideously terrible things in canon but like. It's fine. She's remorseful and seeking atonement now don't worrryyy about ittt.

Short Term & Future Plans/Wishes: Mostly looking for Mikan to make friends who can help her be a bit more comfortable, give her support, and maybe not judge her too harshly for the uhh everything in her past.

She'll likely be hanging around in an infirmary area or wherever sick/injured people are to be useful and feel more at home, but will be easily coaxed out to explore around and try to get used to the cold again since she just came from a tropical island.

And also trying her hardest to stay away from Nadeshiko because Nadeshiko will murder Mikan dead she can NOT try to represent anything noble. Please help Mikan, otherwise Nadeshiko will rage, Mikan will cry, and everyone will feel awkward about it.

Also please expect Mikan to slip and fall often around the 16th with the slippery floors. Please also expect lots of panty shots or mikan somehow falling into improbable sexy positions, like she falls and somehow cream from a nearby cake falls on her chest/face and the cords of a curtain tie her up in a BDSM pose. It's a canon event, i can not interfere. Just rescue her and ignore it.

About: Ranma here is a martial artist who trained all his life before he even began walking, and is a walking disaster zone with a penchant of attracting chaos and weirdness wherever he goes. Probably less prevalent here but. Give it like five days, he'll have someone wanting to put him through several walls. It's easy to want to, as Ranma is full of pride to the nth degree, understands social cues as well as a brick wall does, blunt as a bowling ball falling on your head and tactful as a running chainsaw. On top of that, he's got a knack for being a cheeky little shit who can and will tease you over this and that if he thinks you deserve ribbing.

He's also a fairly chill dude when he isn't being insulted or slighted, and holds a strong code of honor as a martial artist to protect the weak and defenseless.

Thanks to falling into a magical hot spring, Ranma's stuck with a curse that makes him change from boy to girl whenever cold water's dumped on him, and back to boy when hot water's applied. To his chagrin... while simultaneously using his curse to his benefits and isn't above using it to mess with people.

Short Term & Future Plans/Wishes: First and foremost, CR. I'd love for Ranma to make friends with people who don't want to take his head off his shoulders, though of course I also love CR with people who will snark back with him. And I'll never say no to rivalries and enemies!!!

Ranma himself will mostly be around Rosavelle and the castle, doing his own things. Like training, helping out people and in general trying to earn his keep since staying at a big fancy castle for free is weird to him. He'll also be looking for people to spar with in the meantime, since outside of one certain tomboy, none of his usual sparring partners are here.

He's going to be in misery throughout the entire etiquette training. It might not be as horrific as the one he went through the Martial Arts Dining arc (he never wants to see the inside of another person's mouth that up close again), but it's still going to be torture for him. At this time, his curse might get revealed publicly because comedy.

Speaking of the curse, Ranma might look into the magic here to see if he can't remove or better control it. I'm taking Ranma from the end of the manga, where while he does tolerate his curse, he's never accepted it and still wants it gone. I would also like people to help him out with realizing his curse isn't that bad, because the time period he came from... doesn't have the best understanding or kindest view on concepts like gender identity and what not, so being in a setting where his curse won't be seen as weird or wrong could be helpful.

Verso and his best friend Monoco are launching a matchmaking service — regular mingles, events, and fancy parties, plus Monoco-led battle training for anyone who wants to better defend their loved ones from rivals, muahahah.

What I'm looking for:

- People for Verso to help. Whether that's bringing them out of their shell, helping them learn the local customs, giving them courage to try something new or scary, anything goes.

- Non-human or other "outlier" CR. He's instinctively more at ease around those on the fringes... partly because he hasn't fit into "normal" human society for decades, so Rosavelle is a big adjustment for him too.

- Old souls to vibe with.

- Brainrot hours with the homies. He's always game for a bit of foolishness and glorified dumbassery.

As canon puts it, she's "timid" and torn between her twin desires for secrecy and "exposure", lonely and desperate for connection but after being rejected and abandoned by basically everyone she's tried to reach out to, she's too afraid of the necessary vulnerability to really form a real bond with someone. Introduction: Oh god. I'm one of the real newbies here. this is my first time in a shipping game and like... my THIRD game? Ever? I've only been in DWRP a little under a year. PST.

Character Name: Akane Tendo
Canon: Ranma 1/2

About: A talented martial artist who trained from nearly the time she could talk and throw punches at the same time, Akane has been helping protect her schools and neighborhood since elementary school-- and her tomboy nature has been known for just as long.

While she's less of a walking disaster area than some other people she could mention in this CR request, she nevertheless can leave a trail of the beaten and broken in her wake and isn't afraid to do so. Her hands are rated E for Everyone, and given the environment she grew up in, it's kind of hard to blame her.

Regardless of that, if you avoid the sore spots of her lack of feminine skills, or her tendency to act first and think maybe later, she's a pleasant person to talk to, and she's perfectly willing to help teach or learn the martial arts basically whenever.

Most importantly, her canon point is wildly different than this Ranma's-- taking place not long after one of the larger and more serious arcs in the series, and a real nadir for their relationship in general... since Akane was ready to accept her own feelings, and acts like it afterwards for the rest of the series, but Ranma extremely was not.

Short Term & Future Plans/Wishes: This girl grew up in 80's Japan, where being gay is Just Not Mentioned In Front Of Children, never mind the cultural thing with S class or a dozen other things means that her understanding of sex and gender is extremely limited. While she's canonically bisexual (lucky her!), most of the women in her life want to kill her, and this has pretty much removed them from the running on her attractiveness scale.

In short, Akane desperately needs a bisexual wake-up call in the next month or so, though drilling through the internalized homophobia instilled by 80's japan is going to be a Task.

Her average day is probably going to be taken up with treating the etiquette classes like she does high school, taking notes and arriving in goddamned uniform of all things, and taking wild runs across the island and making up her own bricks to break for focus practice if no one stops her. She'll also be working on her Bloomcraft, with an eye towards her natural Elementalism and, of all things, Infusion. (Warning: her cooking is still Pretty Bad, but canon's shown that she'll get better with genuine teaching and encouragement.)

About: Darin is your basic JRPG/Shounen hot-blooded protagonist. On the surface, he might seem like an impulsive, hot-headed idiot mostly because he is. But all of that is just a mask of bravado hiding the fact that he has some really deep trauma regarding his powers which stem from a demonic god prophesied to destroy his world. At his core, he's a good-natured man with a heart of a hero, but a lifetime of being told he was a monster has left him believing he's not worth anything. Here's an info post!

Short Term & Future Plans/Wishes: Short Term: Let's face it, Darin's getting thrown in the dungeon in the first week. The first hour, maybe.

Beyond that, I'm here for it all. Settling in, making friends. I'd love for people to start to question him. Start to peel back the layers of his brashness and arrogance and get him to maybe open up about his powers. He's afraid he'll be branded a monster but if push came to shove, he'd use his powers to help someone.

About: Heel-face turn witch who turns out to have been on the heroes' side the entire time (what a twist!). Likes cats, peace and quiet, and the cold. Big hat with a crown on it. She's terrible at socializing due to her specific type of magic being ostracized in witch society and humans distrusting all witches by nature despite the 4000 year peace they've had with them. At her canon point, she and the heroes have just beaten the Big Bad and his Mom and are celebrating peace once more.

Fatima, however, has answered a mysterious letter's summons instead of following through with teaching magic at the Rev Academy.

Plans/Wishes

Long Term: One of Fatima's biggest goals will be to (attempt) to get a place of her own/an atelier where she can practice her magic and potentially make a living off of it. She's allergic to doing things when it's not on her own terms, and being in the refurbished barracks will make her feel closed-in.

These are just some food for thought for her general trajectory. I'm open and amenable to any other plans! Naturally, I'll be tagging out on logs that come up.

Charm Cram School-Y'all need some serious help in the etiquette department. Fortunately, Corrin is someone who has already done this, and minus the cultural-specific stuff, can teach others how to act thanks to her own extensive private tutoring. With Nadeshiko's permission, Corrin is going to start running Charm Cram School, side-lessons to supplement Nadeshiko's and help the other advisors who are struggling to learn, with an instructor who is probably not as intimidating as Nadeshiko is. Do well, and Corrin will touch your face give you celebratory headpats.
Activities-Corrin is both a talented pianist and a seamstress, so honestly giving her the chance to do either of those things here would be fun. I might consider her trying to run a seamstress business on the side. She can also give swordplay lessons to people who want them!

About: Fujino is a reserved, yet polite and mild-mannered girl that can be somewhat of a doormat at times who also goes to a private Catholic academy. In other words, just a normal person...on the surface, at least.

In truth, she's had an inability to feel pain and missed out on how to feel things and what it's like to truly experience life in general, so she only pretends to be normal and will do everything she can to convince others (and herself) that she is, even if she may have to lie about it. Also, she's murdered several people in her canon via funky magical eyes that are a mix of ESP and magecraft, so she is pretty much a huge mess overall!!

But, despite everything? Fujino can be a very sweet person if given the chance to truly melt and around someone she can really trust! It's just going to take quite a long while...

Also, her hobbies are taking walks alone and watching horror movies by herself, so take that as you will.

Short Term & Future Plans/Wishes:

Short Term: Settling down and making friends, first off! As she's coming from a canon point where she doesn't have her inability to feel pain at this moment and recently killed someone but shhhh, Fujino is going to be a little unsure and distant, so any and all kinds of platonic CR are welcome! Especially ones where she's able to crawl out of her shell and let her actually get a little silly. Probs also going to be learning Infusery as a start too, so that'll be fun.

Event-wise, she's gonna study hard to blend in and spend time by herself imitating some of the motions, spend time at the conservatory on Dec. 22, but other then that? Probs gonna roll with whatever else is brought to the table!

Long Term: Learning and navigating through all of the other emotions now that she's able to feel is the #1 priority, since she wasn't able to back home!

About: Artist; draws for a music circle that's been operating for a couple years, and sometimes sings as part of it. Pleasant enough but has a short fuse and gets very argumentative; has a tendency to let her mouth get ahead of her and regret it later. Used to night classes and staying up late, and sleeping through the morning. Not physically fit and hasn't cared about it until she came to a society that doesn't have buses and trains. Once you've gotten through her prickly exterior, caring and will fight for you with everything she has. Jaded after several years of being beaten down over her lack of artistic talent, but improving enough that she's starting to believe it herself.

If you catch her on a good day, Ena's easy to talk to, but if you make her mad - or if she's already mad - she can be a lot to deal with, and she's got a lot of snark in her. But she can be worn down with reasonable arguments and she's not one to kick puppies. She'll take a bit of time to warm up to you, but once she has, she'll make a point to notice you in a crowd.

Short Term & Future Plans/Wishes: Ena is going to chafe so hard at having to play Refined Noble Lady, but if Callie's doing their best to support her, the least she can do is try to get through it. So Ena will have her game face on - even if it'll come with twitching eyelids and a short fuse - and will put in the work to try and get it down. She's not going to entirely succeed, but she'll be passable without immense effort, and that's a starting place, right? Still, she'll need extra help, so she'll hit Lady Nadeshiko's extra study session and whatever other options are presented.

Ena's "civilian" focus moving forward generally, but starting with some of the happenings for Wilting too, will be a fresh focus on her art; without due dates for her circle, she needs something else to keep her moving forward. She'll have to keep it simple until they can safely venture into town, but even graphite and scrap paper will be enough to keep her in practice. That said, she'll be interested to take in new scenery and new people to practice with, although time will tell if her work - or her focus - are good enough to produce anything meaningful or solid. She'll swing by the forge mid-December when she realizes she's not getting instant hot packs in Rosavelle, otherwise she's going to have a bad time through the winter. But she's also going to be working on Bloomcraft, focusing on Imprintwork for her art with maybe a touch of Infusery for her (limited) cooking and Meramancy for her singing... and just a bit of Elementalism because she might like a little fire to go with her personality.

More generally... Ena needs friends. Without her circle she's going to feel really, really exposed, so please help her open up, sob. Part of her is going to want to do "normal" stuff to keep herself occupied, but she's also going to go stir crazy without access to the internet. She's also not... super used to relationships so she's going to need some easing into that. Which. Is itself going to be a problem, so. There's that. help her, seriously

Short Term & Future Plans/Wishes: In the short term, despite what I just said, Tsukasa's going to actually do pretty well in her Being A Noble classes! Nadeshiko may or may not be impressed. She will do less well when the actual festival rolls around.

Longer term, she wants to be helpful to our princess, make some friends, look cool and competent, and do some self-improvement on the side that she hasn't quite figured out how it'll work yet. Yayoi's big thing is that she has a strong sense of justice! She wants things to be Right. And she gets mad when things aren't Right. She also tends to believe people really easily, but then if she finds someone untrustworthy, she'll never believe them again.

She's autistic af, is what I'm getting at here.

She's coming in from post-canon, where she's chilled out considerably, but she's still very hot-tempered and prone to acting without thinking.

Yayoi also has a superhero identity as Night Wild, but she's trying to keep that on the down-low for now. She doesn't expect to need to transform much here anyway! So she intends to mostly just use her tools for fortune-telling rather than actually transforming to fight.

Short Term & Future Plans/Wishes:
Short term: Yayoi is just looking to get settled! She doesn't believe anyone will like her romantically, so she's just trying to help others out. She is not going to do well with Nadeshiko's training, because she's too impulsive and too honest. She can't fake it. It's going to go poorly, but she's still going to do her best to not cause problems. Probably going to try to find a different cover story. Maybe a bodyguard or a court fortune-teller or something.

About: Kanade is the fiery-headed, high-flying, badass singing wielder of the Gungnir Symphogear, one of humanity's few hopes against the Noise and various other threats beyond the normal ability to handle. And if you're familiar with Symphogear... you know that Kanade dies just a little over 12 minutes into Season 1, Episode 1.

If you're not familiar, uh... don't worry, it's fine, there's five whole seasons of this stuff.

Anyways! As a result of her untimely demise leading to her haunting the first season's narrative, most of her actual onscreen content outside of flashbacks is from the now-ended Symphogear mobile game... which is where I'm playing her from! This Kanade is actually from a parallel world where she didn't die, amongst many other differences, but she's still fundamentally the same character. I'm... working on her info post, give me a minute. Maybe a little after I've posted this I'll have gotten started.

In any case, Kanade's got a troubled past, but has actually managed to cope with it pretty splendidly, even if there were a few bumps on the road getting to this point. She's reckless, brash, stubborn and self-sacrificial... but she's also intensely hopeful, cheerful, confident, and caring. Though she's got her own insecurities, hers is a figure so free and radiant that one can't help but be drawn in. It's no wonder, then, that she's such a famous idol back home.

Short Term & Future Plans/Wishes: First and foremost... I want Kanade to form connections with characters who she can look after. She's got a maternal/paternal side to her, so she can't really help herself from wanting to look out for others. Of course, next to that is a desire for ships. Kanade is very charming, especially when she wants to be. She is a famous idol, after all... with her most popular demographic being women. Still, we'll just continue on as normal and if we come across that particular bridge, we'll figure out how to cross it then. Finally, friends she can mess around with on equal footing is very important to get for her.

Kanade will, however, suffer with Nadeshiko. Don't get her wrong, Kanade can handle a little formality, and she can kill it in a fancy dress or suit... but the kind of etiquette needed to pass off as a noble is a whole different beast from being an idol—not to mention an idol famous for her more wild personality. She'll stubbornly tough it out for a bit, but it won't be long before she's suffering... and possibly a little afraid of Nadeshiko. Callie. Callie how could you. Callie how could you do this to her. Her attitude is part of her charm, Callie.

Outside of being on death's door just one day into the etiquette classes, she'll mostly just be around doing whatever she can to help, wherever she can. In the more long-term, though... what I wouldn't give for Kanade to be able to perform onstage for a group of people someday. Some kind of concert. For all her wild exterior, Kanade truly does love to sing... and hey, maybe Rosavelle could use an idol unit?

Nabiki is going to think that "foreign nobility and advisor to the throne" sounds like a cushy job with free food, luxurious accomodations and a generous clothing and jewelry allowance, so she's definitely gonna play along and take the etiquette lessons seriously, maybe even to the point of helping Akane and Ranma Not Fuck It Up for her.

She may be tempted to try and grift people with a bogus noble title. Marchessa Nabiki Tendo has a nice ring to it. Someone please talk her out of it/enable the shenanigans.

All of the festivals where there's an opportunity to open up shop is also going to appeal to her as chances to make a quick buck, as will the Mending Fest.

She's going to be unenthused by the romantic aspects of all of this until someone or multiple someones manages to have a meetcute with her. She's into older financially stable men and women and probably would appreciate someone with a heroic streak to get her out of her shell; free food and gifts will also endear you to her, though it will also encourage her worst tendencies. Cindy is...bad...at romance, but she means well and is generally open to trying to date when her life isn't going insane. She's also a reporter that may or may not be considering creating a relationship advice column.

Short Term & Future Plans/Wishes: The thing I want most in the short term is just for Cindy to make some connections and generally be embarrassing both to herself and to them. She's an IC shipper that enjoys getting people to hook up, and she doesn't really think of herself as worthy of a relationship. Or that she'll have the time for it, because she's basically been going full tilt into the secret superhero thing. Also she's kind of a dumb Millennial, so it'd be fun for her to make connections through shared interests like D&D or Pokemon or something (She's into both those things and more canonically).

In the long term, I'd like for her to be proven wrong. I'd love for someone to over time put together that Silk and Cindy are the same person, and to just try and get her to slow down. Maybe find some affection of her own, but really just people who vibe with her would be enough. Basically she was tasked with maintaining technology in the protective garden she and her sisters lived in. Until she was called upon to leave and join their "Allmother" that is. This was also quite some time ago to Fixer.

Fixer used to be a goofy, curious sort. Messing around with her station and with the rules all Sisters followed. Asking questions, joking around, normal girl things.

Now, she's bitter and tired and been through quite a lot before reaching this point. She could be as happy as she was again, but she's got several hangups about her past actions, and someone who was very, very important to her.

Short Term & Future Plans/Wishes:

- Most pressingly, Fixer will be coming to terms with the fact that she'll need to remove her helmet and rebreather in order to eat here. She'll be nervous, even when it seems everyone is perfectly healthy. It's just too good to be true.

- She'll start poking around pretty quickly. For libraries, secret passages, little hallways off to the side. Places you're technically not supposed to go in, she'll want to check them out. Often times just to see what's there.

- Once Nadeshiko shows up, Fixer will end up butting heads over some things (The helmet WILL be staying on, thank you)

- She'll definitely take an interest in working in the forge on those charms, and whatever else she can get away with at the moment.

- Basically this girl needs to unclench her jaw and learn to relax for the first time in six years.

Her friendship/romance arc in game deals a lot with her realizing she doesn't have to do everything alone, that people can like (or care about) her for herself, and not just what she can do for them. I'd love for her to be able to go through something like that here. Either friendship or a relationship or all of the above. That's the BIG ideal plan.

As far as short term plans, I am very much a go with the flow kind of person - and she does need to learn about a lot of human things while she's here! Since she's so used to making connections for smuggling reasons, she'll probably reach out to a lot of people and try to build those again in general.

Short Term & Future Plans/Wishes: so since her main focus is going to be survival and trying not to get murdered during etiquette training, honestly, most people will probably see her as as a supremely pathetic boy. this leads me to the first time of cr i'd love:

• people who can sense something's off! this can mean spiritually or through power senses - venus has a light roiling within her, after all, and she's known she's been incubating as a devil for years now. that said, i'm also okay with more perceptive characters just... understanding that maybe this girl is less "bullyable kid" and more "actually dealing with some mental problems and trauma." on that note-
• other mentally ill folks. i don't know if there are many others in game, but i'd love for venus to have someone she can actually talk to about things like "seeing the lights in the corners of her eyes" and "having to tell yourself you believe someone even when you know they just want to hurt you."
• queer and gender-nonconforming folks! venus isn't... entirely unused to the idea, having had a few Thoughts and Daydreams, and at the very least understands that other people can be lesbians, bnut i'd love for a few people to help drag her to the "she can also be in that category" bit by bit.

They're literally as strong and fast as horses for us are, and Gold Ship is a Freak strengthwise even amongst the other girls. Plus she's built, so that's fun.

But what is she like? Well she's a gremlin. She loves nothing more than blowing off training, pulling pranks, and generally taking life as unseriously as possible. Watch in awe as the horse plays shogi with herself in the middle of a training field, gasp in horror as she runs forward and drop kicks a person full on in the chest or face just because she felt like it. Or because she wanted to say hi, or celebrate, or any number of things. She's loud and goes out of her way to make a spectacle of herself, having as much fun as she can and dragging people out of their shells where she's able.

And underneath that she manages to somehow be Hiding A Few Issues. Horse girl clearly doesn't cope well with her problems, she keeps them to herself and uses her clown reputation to hide what's going on in that head of hers. Which is a lot. She's prone to quiet introspection, occasional genuinely thoughtful advice, and Big Brain activities (she's a chess grandmaster which is something i still can't get over tbh). On top of that she's absolute crap at dealing with FEELINGS, pranks are how she flirts and she's already managed to fumble one complete baddie. Rip.

Also she's hit her peak, apparently. Which is an actual thing that happens to umas instead of just a dumb saying. She's Coping With That too. Double Rip.

Short Term & Future Plans/Wishes: I'll be entirely honest we're kind of "dog caught the car it was chasing, now what" here as far as my plans go. Long term? For Gold Ship? HAH... she's a go with the flow vibe-based creature. She accepted the invitation to this whole deal because 1) seemed fake and 2) sounded like fun if true, so.

SHORT TERM: Really feeling her getting into the blacksmithing if only so she can make her own cleats (which are literally just small horseshoes that go on the toes of her shoes/boots. I love this canon so much), and having Existential Crises over four legged horses. She might end up fighting the horses, or at the least challenging them to races because she can NOT let go that people are going to be linking her to these strange hoofbeasts.

But yeah other than that we're just running blind, which is in the spirit of Golshi if nothing else.

Canon: Genshin Impact

About: Dainsleif is a man with a dark and saddened past, haunted by a long string of betrayals that helped him along the journey he is now. He is a reticent man, though he is unafraid of speaking towards others, either (just picture him please as a cat in the shadows that comes out when approaching others.)

He can be particularly, exceptionally unforgiving when wronged, and is not afraid to speak his mind. However, he cares deeply, and has a kind, loyal, righteous heart underneath all the depressing baggage.

Due to the fact Dainsleif is well-traveled he tends to be knowledgeable about a number of things in Teyvat, though he here will ostensibly be on the same lines as everyone else in most respects when it comes to "knowing" much about a foreign world.

Short Term & Future Plans/Wishes:

Short-Term Plans: Of course, ensuring that Dainsleif dips his toes into interactions with others, in so that he can begin to lay down foundations for potential future friendships. Given the nature of who he is they will take time to form, certainly longer than most muses I have in my roster just based upon his experiences, though the intention is for it to be a sort of ease over time.

Getting him into minorly humorous shenanigans may also be on the list but is not necessarily a requirement.

Anyways, in lines with current events, if people wish to use that as a potential branching off point for CR-building, I can offer this:

Noble Etiquette: Dainsleif's background is actually noted to be from a relatively important family (not to mention, he was a royal knight.) While he, like everyone else, must adjust to the rigors of a foreign nation's custom and history, he is liable to pick up on this easier than making easy smalltalk.

And also, there may be perhaps consideration of mutual studying sessions outside of daily lessons...study groups...

There can also be various points of interaction, I feel, in the midst of daily lessons, or shenanigans resulting from that.

Horses: Khaenri'ah was below ground rather than above ground, but I'm sure given the weird way on how they managed things, learning about horses as well as how to ride them I feel were not impossible. But it'd be funny if he had to deal with a particularly fussy horse, or something like that, and needed help when he's trying to assist with exercising one. Maybe the horse just doesn't like the low-key stench of Abyss on him, who knows, lol

Open Workshop: This sounds like so much fun...could be nice to have characters work on as a mutual collaborative thing and discuss things. He doesn't know a thing about forging things in the slightest so this aspect will be an entirely new thing for Dains.

General Interaction: If there are ideas for random encounters on your mind regarding this character and yours, we can discuss this. Whether it is broaching certain topics, or other matters entirely. Although generally the points of interest I described in the above will be potentially placed in a top-level or whichever convenient, I thought it'd be good for potential jumping off points.

I've got no real limitation on specific character types of CR so I am ready for all personality kinds when I'm gonna throw him into the deep end. So, come at me.

Long-Term Plans: In the end, I wish for him to come out of this first and foremost with ironclad friendships, and strong platonic bonds. Though to know that he doesn't have to suffer in silence, and that he too can still help people he cares about and not have it all go to pot...as well as just general healing.

I do wish to reiterate I am up for anything as it were, but because of the fact I anticipate it will take awhile, this is my main priority. And these would need to be built upon first so he can trust people to let them in in the first place.

As a general note, I am not bothered by any potential chance for some conflict, as I do tend to play things mostly by ear, rather than plan anything or have a general idea of trajectory when it comes to character arcs. For obvious reasons, given the nature of the game, there are at least thoughts, but not everything must go to plan.

His tragic backstory as a failed child sacrifice and coddled sickboy (he's doing better now) has given him a low-key complex about being useful and not taking up too much of anyone's time or trouble, as well as for single-handedly saving the world even at the cost of his own life... but he did learn that he could ask for help on that last thing. He spends a lot of time on his own, but not because he's unfriendly - for a number of reasons socializing is just not his forte.

About: Octavia is your typical post apocalyptic teen who used to live in space as an illegal second child, hiding for about 16 years of her life until she got caught and arrested for being born then got sent down to earth with other delinquents to make sure it wasn't still totally radiated and uninhabitable.

She is pretty friendly, fun and flirtatious for the most part, acts with a lot of confidence despite her upbringing and can also be very reckless acting first then asking questions later but look this is what happens when she doesn't have much real life experience with a lot of things.

Short Term & Future Plans/Wishes: This girl is gonna be so eager mingle, flirt and learn to do all things given all that she's lacking from being locked up most of her life while in space and everything that is post apocalyptic earth. there is so much she had never heard of or seen and only vaguely knows of through stories and lowkey she is a mythology nerd which she will absolutely blame on her brother who would read her stories about it while growing up.

I just want to get her settled in and for her to make some friends, get some mentors figures, talk to people who know what it's like to have a sibling? (because what do you mean other people have them! it'll be super weird for her), people to adopt her, someone teaching her to fight ( it's something she does later in canon anyway as she becomes a badass warrior but deviating from that to learn through cross canon cr would be interesting)

She is allergic to being told what to do and how to act so she won't be happy at all with the etiquette classes, etc even though on some level she does they why they need to blend in but yeah it'll be rough and very awkward, it's kinda up in the air whether she'll accidentally insult / hit someone but she'll be doing her best.
